I’m extremely excited to be a part of an event this coming Tuesday, November 13th, geared towards answering your questions about Windows 8. An estimated 4 million PC users upgraded to Windows 8 during the first weekend of its release. I’m assuming several of you reading this blog were a part of that wave. While developers tend to be quite savvy when it comes to “bricking their machine” and installing fresh or updating the OS, it can be a challenge to consumers, especially if there are peripherals involved.
On November 13th I’ll be teaming up with the Windows team and HP for a Twitter chat to discuss Windows 8. The goal is to help users make a smooth transition to the new OS and take full advantage of its new features and benefits. The conversation will be co-moderated by @WindowsBlog and @HPSupport.
The talk takes place on Tuesday, November 13th from 1pm – 2pm PST (4pm – 5pm EST) right after the regularly scheduled time for the popular #WinChat.
I hope you’ll be able to join me along with colleagues:
- Peter Bright @DrPizza) of Arstechnica
- Tim Fisher (@AboutPCSupport) of the About.com PC Support Guide
- Richard Hay (@winobs) of WindowsObserver.com
- David Murphy (@thedavidmurphy) of PC World
- Paul Thurrott (@thurrott) of WinSuperSite.com
Please share this with friends, family, co-workers and anyone else you may know who either already upgraded to Windows 8 or is looking to make the switch. We will do our best to answer all of theirs (and your) Windows 8 related questions.
Thanks, and I hope to tweet you there!
